Moisture from a weakening Hurricane Norbert off the coast of Baja is expected to move into Arizona bringing an increased chance of rain late in the weekend.
The National Weather Service has predicted a 70 percent chance of rain for Fountain Hills Sunday night. The chance of rain will steadily increase from 30 percent on Saturday to the peak late Sunday.
Although decreasing, the chance of rain and thunderstorms remains in the forecast for the area through Tuesday.

Moisture from a weakening Hurricane Norbert off the coast of Baja is expected to move into Arizona bringing an increased chance of rain late in the weekend.
The National Weather Service has predicted a 70 percent chance of rain for Fountain Hills Sunday night. The chance of rain will steadily increase from 30 percent on Saturday to the peak late Sunday.
Although decreasing, the chance of rain and thunderstorms remains in the forecast for the area through Tuesday.
Weekend temperatures are expected to drop below triple digits with a forecast high of just 87 for Monday in Fountain Hills.
With any rain will come the chance street flooding in low areas and wash crossings. Drive with caution.
