Calls for the week of Oct. 9 through Oct. 15

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 9, through Thursday, Oct. 15.

Thursday, Oct. 9

*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills Boulevard and Ocotillo Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report the collision occurred when a motorist failed to yield and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported and no vehicles were towed.

Weekly update from Maricopa County Sheriff on calls in Fountain Hills

Calls for the week of Oct. 9 through Oct. 15

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 9, through Thursday, Oct. 15.

Thursday, Oct. 9

*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills Boulevard and Ocotillo Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report the collision occurred when a motorist failed to yield and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported and no vehicles were towed.

Friday, Oct. 10

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported a subject shoplifted items from a business. The business was not willing to aid in prosecution.

*A resident of the 12000 block of Chama Drive reported an unknown subject stole several tools from a parked vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident.

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where a subject was trespassed from a business after refusing to leave when asked by the business owner.

*Deputies responded to Hampstead Drive and Palisades Boulevard for a reported vehicle fire. The fire was extinguished by the Fountain Hills Fire Department, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Sunday, Oct. 12

*A resident of the 15000 block of Eagle Rock Drive reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the complainant’s driveway. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle and initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was processed for DUI and charges are awaiting lab results.

*A resident of the 9000 block of Vista Verde Court reported an unknown subject struck the complainant’s mailbox with a vehicle and fled the scene without reporting the incident.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported an unknown subject attempted to pay for items at a business with a counterfeit bill.

Monday, Oct. 13

*A resident of the 17000 block of Alta Loma reported an unknown subject burglarized a residence.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Thistle Drive reported an unknown subject used the victim’s credit card to make a purchase without permission.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Palatial Drive. According to deputies, the driver was traveling 104 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Palatial Drive. MCSO reports the driver was traveling 82 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Tuesday, Oct. 14

*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Crestview Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies said that a driver failed to control their speed to avoid a collision and rear ended a stopped vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. for a reported fraud incident. It was reported that a business attempted to purchase an item for $8,000, but the website used to make the purchase was fraudulent and the item was never delivered.

*Deputies made a traffic stop at Fountain Hills and Kingstree boulevards for a vehicle with expired registration. Upon contacting the driver deputies initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was processed for DUI, and charges are pending lab results.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane for a vehicle with an expired registration. A records check by deputies revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Wednesday, Oct. 15

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of El Lago Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject fired archery arrows into a building causing damage.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Palomino Blvd. reported that an unknown subject broke the window of a residence with a rock and subsequently burglarized the residence.
