Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, May 1, through Wednesday, May 7.
Thursday, May 1
*Deputies received a report that a transport company was hired to move a vehicle out of state, but did not deliver the vehicle to Colorado as hired. The vehicle was located in Texas and had been stolen.
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro for a reported domestic violence assault incident. Deputies report that a records check revealed the suspect had an outstanding felony warrant. The suspect was arrested on the warrant and booked into jail. Assault charges were submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Bayfield Drive where it was reported that a subject with a warrant was located at a residence. Deputies contacted the subject, and a records check revealed a valid misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
*Sheriff’s deputies received a report that an unknown subject stole a check sent to a business then altered the check and cashed it in another state.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that the victim inadvertently left personal property in a shopping cart at a business and an unknown subject took the property.
Friday, May 2
*Deputies responded to Monterey Drive and Rough Circle for a reported vehicle collision. Deputies said that an unknown driver struck a vehicle that was unoccupied and legally parked on the street. The subject then fled the area without reporting the incident. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.
Saturday, May 3
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a subject was trespassed from a commercial property and refused to leave the property. The subject was contacted by deputies and cited for trespassing.
Sunday, May 4
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Calaveras Ave. where it was reported that unknown subjects attempted to unlawfully enter a commercial building. Deputies on scene report finding a broken window at the location. It is not known if the window damage was related to the call for service or a separate incident.
Monday, May 5
*Deputies responded to Pinto and Puma drives for a reported single vehicle traffic collision. Deputies reported the driver was distracted by their cellphone and struck a mailbox after veering off the roadway. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver was issued a civil citation.
*A resident of the 12000 block of Chama Dr. reported that an unknown subject posted harassing comments about the complainant on social media.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where a private property traffic collision was reported. Deputies said a vehicle was struck while attempting to back out of a parking space. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*A resident of the 13000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that an unknown subject stole money from a residence. The victim believes a cleaning contractor might be responsible for the theft.
Wednesday, May 7
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Trevino Drive. MCSO reports the driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 61 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Del Cambre Ave. where they served a subject with an order of protection.
