The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a Red Flag Warning for strong winds, low relative humidity and very high to extreme fire danger.

The weather warning will remain in effect through 9 p.m. on Thursday, April12.

The affected area includes the Phoenix area and Fountain Hills.

Winds coming from the west are forecast at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Relative humidity will remain as low as 8 percent.

Potential fire fuels are very dry and fire danger is very high to extreme. These conditions combined with low relative humidity and strong winds will lead to the widespread hazardous fire weather conditions.
