By now most residents have seen my campaign signs, been to the public forums, attended a local “meet and greet” or seen and heard me speak at numerous campaign events. My reason for running for town council is simple: I have years of experience building, developing, turning around and leading a variety of businesses.
My leadership skills revolve around servant leadership, believing and listening to those I serve and support, ultimately making my decision based on facts and not emotions; decisions that benefit the organization. which in this case is you, our town residents.
I have no aspirations or ulterior motivities other than to offer my business and financial background to sustain, protect and grow the town that we all love and cherish. I have said repeatedly that I pledge to listen to all that desire to engage in respectful and productive conversation. I intend to listen with the intention of understanding all sides of an issue before making my decision. My focus will include returning the town council to civility.
As far as current issues, I believe and will continue to support finding a way to address the condition of our streets. If the resounding response from the town residents is that we need to find a way to repair our primary and secondary streets and doing so requires a bond or similar funding mechanism, then I will support such an initiative.
Other issues include contract administration, minimizing governmental intervention into our lives without compromising quality and safety. Supporting local businesses and helping various business organizations including the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce find new ways to support local businesses. Reviewing and supporting town staff by offering input on issues in areas where I have firsthand knowledge and experience.
