Is waste management outsourcing good or bad? You be the judge. The benefit touted by waste management is a reduction in cost which will translate to profit. How much will it raise the dividend; one cent, five cents, a quarter?
Shareholders should be delighted. Bonuses to management for their wise decisions? Or are there some other side effects that are not so positive? Without income, some will no doubt turn to family, others will apply for unemployment benefits, medical programs like ACCHS, food stamps, financial assistance. Their kids will now be eligible for free school lunches and, if they are lucky, child care while they look for work.
Who pays for this? What will Govornor Ducey and the Republican Legislature do? Why, tax cuts for business, of course. Waste management gets the benefits like no social security tax, no Medicare payments, no medical benefit premiums to pay, no retirement contributions. Waste management cleans up and the American Dream is trashed
