One of the most important opportunities we have as citizens is to vote for representatives, locally and nationally. Many of us who are not active in politics depend on those in the know to help to inform us of those who are running for office to represent us. For that reason many of us depend on the Voter’s Guide to help us with selecting those who are qualified in the various offices which appear on our voters’ ballots.
It is appalling to realize that the Arizona Voter’s Guide provided to voters is remiss in giving us information to help decide whom to vote for locally. Did you know about Diego Rodriquez running for County Attorney, Joe Downs for Treasurer, Michelle Robertson for Superintendent of Schools, Adrian Fontes for County Recorder, and three very qualified people running for Central Arizona Water Conservation District, Alexandra Arboleda, Ben Graff and Jim Holway?

All of these candidates are more qualified than those now in office. Please consider investigating these peoples’ qualifications and vote only for them. In the case of the Water District candidates, only vote for the three mentioned here to give their votes more strength in winning. These three are concerned about water in our state, which is so important since we live in the desert and we are having serious water problems as time goes on, since the sources are drying up.
If you vote for Adrian Fontes I can assure you that you will get a more comprehensive Voter’s Guide in the future.
So vote and vote smart. If you do not know the candidate, investigate. Do not simply vote for the incumbents. They may not be the most qualified to represent your ideas to make Arizona the best for all of our citizens. Our informed vote strengthens us.
