The front page of The Arizona Republic Sunday morning Feb. 9 told the story – “Alarmingly Dry January Fuels Greater Worry...” Its editorial states “...if current conditions persist, Arizona could face water shortages in a few years from now.”
California has water rationing now in place and it is likely the rationing will become more severe.
What can we individually do to ease this situation? The River of Time Museum has launched a project to build an authoritative exhibit about water and what can be done to conserve this precious resource. EPCOR, owner of Chaparral Water Company, has donated $5,000 toward this project and we are seeking other funding sources to adequately address this issue.

You can help – please support our efforts to obtain funding from Republic Services by voting for the museum in this community grant competition. It’s easy to do and the future rewards for our children and grandchildren will be great.
On the town’s website fh.az.gov, click on My Republic Rewards on the right. Register to be part of the program or if you are registered, log on. At the top of the page in white letters on dark blue, click Community Grants.
Click under the River of Time Museum’s entry. Enter the number of points you have and click vote.
That’s all there is to it! You will earn points every week for recycling and can earn more for various activities (click on Learn). Vote as often as you want through the next four months.
