So, you think of yourself as a leader. And people – your people – will follow you. Besides being their appointed leader, why will they follow?
People follow treasure maps, their yellow-brick roads, their fate and their destiny. But why you? The difficulty arrives at your doorstep with the very first inquisitor asking: Why?
Comedian Milton Berle often said, “It’s bigger than both of us.”

A vision, a destiny, defined by dignity and integrity is the answer. True in 1970s America and true today.
Come up with a continuing vision today and you will need no drums, no duplicity, no dissemination, no propaganda, nothing untoward to convince followers. It will become bigger than all of us.
Blind Democrats, blind Republicans and blind Independents are obviously all wrong. It takes vision, knowhow and lots of elbow grease. Look at our forefathers, those most famous in history. There is a reason they are well-known. They knew who they were and they know who we are, or at least who we should be. For awhile we were forgetful as to who we are. We forgot, but only for a moment.
Turn on that vision again, full throttle, do not let it die or be stamped out by the ignorant.
The past is written in history. The future, who knows? But what is known is future leaders – true leaders, not simply talkers but visionary leaders – will make the difference.
