Virginia J. Scott, born Nov. 1, 1924 in Chicago, Ill., entered eternal life Feb. 3, 2013 after a severe stroke. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Church of the Ascension. Virginia was a resident of Fountain Hills for the last 27 years. She worked as a dietician for many years in Chicago as well as at McDowell Mountain Elementary School in Fountain Hills.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters, her husband, one son and one grandson. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy; two sons, Mike (Karen) Scott and William (Connie) Scott; five grandchildren, Christina Schwarting, Amy Hecht, Michael, Erik and Dean Scott; and seven great-grandchildren.
Virginia was always there for anyone who needed her, went above and beyond to make sure they were OK. She was never mad for any trouble you may or may not have caused but instead taught you how to avoid it or make it better for the next time.
She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. A Scripture Memorial was held Saturday, Feb. 9, at Messinger Mortuary Chapel in Fountain Hills.
