If all goes well, we should be in for a pretty fantastic weekend around town, celebrating veterans and coming together as a community to once again enjoy the Fountain Festival of Arts and Crafts.
If you’re free Friday morning, Nov. 11, we’d recommend dropping by the Veterans Memorial at around 9 a.m. That’s when all of the local veterans organizations will come together to host the traditional Veterans Day ceremony. This year’s keynote speaker will be retired Marine and Jr. Vice Commander of VFW Post 7507, Ellen Flanary. The address will only be one part of this special event, with proceedings meant to honor the men and women who have fought for this country; those lost and those we are lucky enough to still have with us today.

As the Veterans Day ceremony winds down, the Fountain Festival of Arts and Crafts will officially open at 10 a.m. on Friday morning, running until 5 p.m. Those will be the hours for all three days of the event, which runs through the weekend.
Whether you’re looking to buy some art or hand-crafted items, eat some delicious food, grab a drink, listen to live music or just walk around the downtown area with neighbors and visitors alike, the art festival is always a big draw and yet another one of those annual highlights that makes Fountain Hills such a special community.
