U.S. Army Ranger brings strength, discipline to Fountain Hills football

Falcons’ strength and conditioning coach

After a Monday practice, junior linebacker Jake Harned walked up to Troy Boyle, Fountain Hills’ newest strength and conditioning coach, and expressed his appreciation for training.

Harned shared the team’s collective joy in the new workouts, how he felt one workout in his hamstrings, and how the sessions have translated onto the field.

“It’s the most rewarding thing,” Boyle said. “...In my personal work day – because I run a roofing company – to go out and about, and I wrap up the day at five, ready by 5:30, leave my house and get here at 5:45…This is my most rewarding part of the day.”
