Former U.S. Air Force veteran to present at Fountain Hills Library

Lt. Colonel Roberts will discuss her time working in the Pentagon before and after 9/11

The community is invited to a presentation at the Fountain Hills Library on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m., to explore the history and global significance of the U.S. Pentagon, the headquarters of the nation’s defense operations.

The presentation will be offered by a Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Darla Roberts, a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran who spent more than six years working in the Pentagon in Arlington, Va.

Freshly graduated from war college at the Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala., Roberts was assigned to the office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Air Force, an office responsible for evaluating and reporting on the Air Force’s readiness, efficiency, economy and discipline.
