Updating efforts to manage Colorado River Water

Fountain Hills Mayor Friedel supportive of CAP efforts

At the Arizona League of Cities and Towns conference held in August, representatives of the Central Arizona Project invited community leaders in attendance to join the CAP’s coalition for preserving Arizona’s lifeline, defined as a nonpartisan alliance of local leaders focused on advocating for the long-term water security of Arizona.

Fountain Hills Mayor Gerry Friedel was among several East Valley mayors who participated in a CAP presentation.

“We all agreed that we would certainly support this effort,” Friedel said. “… water is life, economic development and growth.”
