Election 2023

Updated numbers for Fountain Hills election, no change to outcomes

Voters support school property initiative but reject bond

Numbers have been updated for the 2023 election but, while more ballots have been tallied, the outcome has not changed for the two questions posed by Fountain Hills Unified School District (FHUSD).

Fountain Hills residents voted this week in a special election for FHUSD, with initial results showing participants rejecting a school bond initiative and approving a measure to authorize the district to sell, lease or exchange the former Four Peaks Elementary School property. Results were updated at 5:35 p.m. on Nov. 8.

For the bond election, the “no” count sits at 5,047 (57%), with “yes” earning 3,808 votes (43%). For the Four Peaks property, 5,939 (68.37%) votes were cast in favor of the measure with 2,748 (31.63%) opposed.
