The awaited opening for the Desert Vista dog park has been pushed back another two weeks to Monday, July 27. The park requires additional time to allow for the turf to fully set, Town Public Information Officer Mike Pelton said.
“We are treating it with additional fertilizer to ensure proper growth,” Pelton said. “We want to make the new turf as nice as possible and want to ensure the project is done right, rather than opening prematurely.”
The park, which was closed for June, was initially scheduled to open July 6 before being delayed.
