Upcycled furniture boutique opens in Fountain Hills

Former dental hygienist finds passion in the detail

Local artist and business owner MaryElaine Harris says spending more than 30 years as a dental hygienist, cleaning teeth and paying attention to details has informed the kind of art she creates.

Offering upcycled and hand-painted furniture, Harris recently opened Gypsy Bungalow where she restores and paints one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture for her clients.

Located inside the ColabR8 suites along the Avenue of the Fountains, visitors can peruse solid wood mahogany, cherry and oak dressers that Harris sources from local auction and estate sales, searching out quality craftsmanship and solid wood.
