The latest weather system moving across Arizona brought three-quarters to one-inch of rain to Fountain Hills overnight into Friday morning.
A Flood Control District monitoring site in Hesperus Wash northwest of Fountain Hills received 1.14-inch.
The rain gauge at The Times office on Laser Drive collected 1-inch. At Fire Station #1 near downtown the rain gauge had received .75-inch by 8 a.m.
The National Weather Service is forecasting the rain to continue on and off to mid-afternoon Friday, with a lingering chance of rain into Saturday.
Cooler temperatures will come with the storm as highs are forecast in the upper 50s to low 60s.
