Underbelly

Sometimes the blatant lies, bias and insanity of letters to the editor push me over the edge.

My response to Lorna Bennett is to counter the first of numerous falsehoods she told in her snarky, insidious manner.

Fact: President Obama is not an African.

Sometimes the blatant lies, bias and insanity of letters to the editor push me over the edge.

My response to Lorna Bennett is to counter the first of numerous falsehoods she told in her snarky, insidious manner.

Fact: President Obama is not an African.

President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii -- one of the 50 states of the United States of America.

He is therefore an American citizen. He is an American, not an African. Could it be that Ms. Bennett is offended by the fact that he has dark skin?

As to what I feel are her other lies with potential racist undertones -- judge for yourself.

The Obamas have a healthier, happier and more secure marriage than most Americans.

First Lady Michelle Obama has had an exceptionally positive effect on the nutrition and exercise values of this unhealthy, proportionally obese country. She has also done innumerable good works for the families of veterans.

I see racism as an insidious, disgusting and destructive element in the underbelly of our beautiful town, Fountain Hills.
