Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of the bodies of two Valley teens in a remote area of Tonto National Forest off State Route 87.
According to MCSO Spokesman Joaquin Enriquez deputies were called to an area near the forest road leading to Mount Ord in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 27. That is approximately 36 miles northeast of Fountain Hills between Sunflower and Payson.
Enriquez said they have identified one of the victims as 18-year-old Pandora Kjolsrud. MCSO reports the second victim is a 17-year-old, but the name was not released by the Sheriff’s Office because they are a minor. Other media is reporting the 17-year-old is a male and that both victims were students at Scottsdale Unified School District’s Arcadia High School in Phoenix.
