Two Day of Prayer services

Two services recognizing the National Day of Prayer will be held in Fountain Hills Thursday, May 2. The local Evangelical Association hosts a service 12 noon at the First Baptist Church, 10215 N. Saguaro Blvd. Other participating churches are Calvary Fountain Hills and North Chapel Community Bible Church.

The second service will be hosted by Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Soloist Lynn Ruby presents the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” followed by Boy Scout Troop 444 presenting the colors. Soloist Kelli Gibson will lead the National Anthem followed by Ms. Susan Bovinette’s second grade elementary class reciting the Preamble to the Constitution. Spirited and patriotic presentations from several local dignitaries and clergy will help focus on praying for our nation, its leaders, and governments.
