Let me tell you a story, boys and girls, about “The Man who would be King.”

A young, tall, handsome man arrived in the United States of America. He was charming, clever, with a great smile, who had ideas about fundamentally transforming the country.

There were others who had similar thoughts and found ways to support his plan. They were able to propel him to the highest office in the land, putting him on a throne (Oval Office).

There he could officially use his scepter (pen) to order new commandments. His subjects (Congress) seemed to also be under his spell and were unable to overturn his dictates.

However, there were a few bold citizens who began to disagree publicly, thereby encouraging others to join in a way to protect the laws (Constitution) that framed the formation of this unique idea – all men are created equal, with rights granted by the Creator (God).

The man’s allies were deceitful, promoting another way of worshipping. This was unacceptable to the majority of citizens – it was now becoming the “Divided States of America.”

This is an ongoing saga, with no resolution in sight currently. However, keep your eyes and ears open, and your mind sharp, for you will someday provide the solution to this distressing dilemma.

This is a different kind of war, which was fought to establish independence and freedom for all citizens, which will still need to be fought.
