Former Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation President Raphael Bear will share the history of his tribe and plans for future development at the River of Time Museum dinner, Wednesday, Nov. 15.
Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation is home to 600 community members on a 40-square mile reservation bordering the east side of Fountain Hills. The area represents a small portion of the ancestral territory of the once nomadic Yavapai people, who hunted and gathered food in a vast area of Arizona’s desert lowlands and mountainous Mogollon Rim country.
The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in the Community Center with beer and wine, followed by dinner catered by Phil’s Filling Station.
