Treason

The definition of treason: Oran’s Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as “...[a]...citizen’s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].”

If the claim is that there are enough votes in the House of Representatives to get past the current shutdown is true…It should be tested and if it proves true, the speaker should be tried for treason.

Permitting the shutdown as a political ploy prevents the majority of our representatives from fulfilling their responsibility and sets the course for further government dysfunction.
