October is National Arts and Humanities Month, and to celebrate the Town of Fountain Hills is taking steps to spotlight the arts and culture scene within the community.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Mayor Ginny Dickey will isusue a formal proclamation to mark the occasion, emphasizing the town’s commitment to fostering appreciation for the arts among residents and visitors alike.
National Arts and Humanities Month is a time to raise awareness and celebrate a wide range of cultural expressions, according to a press release. From visual arts, music and culinary experiences to theater, performing arts, museums and the town’s renowned dark skies, the Town hopes to showcase the breadth and diversity of the local artistic community through various events and promotions throughout October.
In support of the arts, The Times Independent will feature stories throughout the month of October focusing on local artists, galleries and other contributors to the arts.
