Fountain Hills Community Services/Recreation department will offer a beginner watercolor class during the month of May.

The class is for adults, 16 years and older, and will be held on Mondays May 1-22, at the Community Center.

Students will enjoy learning about and engaging in this free-flowing, transparent, and water-based medium. Beginning techniques include wet-on-wet, value development, textural applications, and color exploration.

Students will begin using black and white values, while continuing toward the full range of color with still life and photographic-reference work.

Experienced students are welcome and will concentrate on developing their own “personal series” in watercolors and other mediums. All levels welcome.

The fee is $70 per participant (pre-registration is required). Additional art supplies will need to be purchased, list will be provided after registration.
