Town of Fountain Hills adopts travel policy

Specific to councilmembers

Fountain Hills Town Council has approved on a 6-1 vote a new travel policy that applies specifically to council members.

First discussed by the council in May with further deliberation in June, recent participation in the League of Arizona Cities and Towns conference in nearby Scottsdale seems to have changed the attitudes of some council members toward the policy.

Councilmember Gayle Earle made a motion that included a change in the language from a distance limitation of 50-miles one-way to anywhere outside the boundaries of the Town of Fountain Hills.
