Budgets will be the primary order of business for the Town Council when it meets this week on Thursday, June 1.
In separate sessions the council members will address the budgets for the Eagle Mountain Community Facilities District and the Cottonwoods Improvement District. The council will meet as the board of directors for each of these entities prior to the regular council session.
There will be a scheduled special session to consider the proposed $35 million budget plan for town operations in the coming fiscal year.
Public hearings will precede each of these meetings.
The budget special session will include a budget implementation policy that includes pay plans, organizational charts, authorized positions, job descriptions and the fee schedule.
During the regular session the Council will discuss proposed changes to parking regulations, particularly clarifying residential parking and vehicle storage to clarify discrepancies in Town Code and Zoning Ordinance.
These items include criminal and civil traffic penalties, definition of abandoned vehicles, unsheltered storage, provisions for abatement of abandoned vehicles, definition for commercial vehicles and provisions for a maximum number of vehicles per residential dwelling unit.
Staff is still preparing these proposed changes and is not expected to be ready for council action. The agenda calls for a resolution to declare a public record related to the changes.
The Town Council meets Thursday, June 1, in council chambers at Town Hall. The district budget meetings will begin shortly before 6:30 p.m.
