Town of Fountain Hills Finance Director Craig Rudolphy will be presenting the Town Council with a report that covers the second quarter that ended on Dec. 31.
Rudolphy will be using the same information provided by Mayor Linda Kavanagh in her State of the Town Address last month, however, he will give additional detail to the numbers in his report.
While the town’s revenue picture is showing small improvement, the income side is having a hard time keeping up with added expenses.

The council’s regular agenda includes consideration of adopting a grant administration policy for the town. This is a new document formalizing procedures and processes the town has used on a regular basis regarding grants.
The council is also being asked to formally ratify the Strategic Plan goals and council operational priorities for the coming fiscal year.
Staff will also present its semi-annual report of implementing council goals for the current fiscal year.
The council is to consider a resolution that would designate the islands in Fountain Lake as natural areas.
This request is in keeping with the method in which volunteers have maintained the island landscaping over the past several years.
There are two new public art sculptures before the council to consider acceptance. Both are slated for installation in Fountain Park. One of the sculptures, entitled “Vigilance,” will need the town to pay $2,000 for a base for the artwork.
The council will consider the appointment of one individual to the McDowell Mountain Preservation Commission for a term extending to Dec. 31, 2017.
This is also the meeting in which the position of vice mayor will transfer from Councilman Cecil Yates to Councilman Dennis Brown.
The council meets on Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
