FISCAL PLANNING

Town Council approves tentative budget plan for Fountain Hills

Set maximum at $53.4 million for Fiscal Year 2026

Fountain Hills Town Council has approved its tentative budget plan for the 2025/2026 Fiscal Year setting the maximum total at $53.4 million.

When the council considers the final version of the budget in June, it cannot be increased from this amount. Reductions on final approval are allowed.

This includes $26 million in the General Fund budget for day-to-day operations. This is a 0.9% increase over the General Fund budget from last year. The budget also includes a $12.7 million capital improvement budget. This is nearly 40% higher than last year but does include approximately $5 million for reconstruction of Palomino Boulevard. There was $3 million added to the Special Revenue Fund to account for a potential federal grant for the International Dark Sky Discovery Center. The town would act as a “pass through” agent on this grant if it is approved because as a non-profit the Discovery Center would not be eligible to receive the money.
