The Fountain Hills Town Council adopted its tentative budget plan for the upcoming fiscal year on a 6-1 vote May 7, but not before Finance Director Paul Soldinger walked them through changes made since the budget discussion in April.
The adjustments were needed so the town would comply with statutes related to expenditure limitations.
“Expenditure limitation considerations necessitated a net reduction of $1.9 million of the overall budget from $47.1 million to $45.2 million and other modifications,” Soldinger told the council.
