FOUNTAIN LAKE

Evaporation test planned in Fountain Hills

Fountain will shut down

The Town of Fountain Hills Parks division will conduct an evaporation test of Fountain Lake to check for potential leaks in the lake liner during the week from Monday, Sept. 23, through Friday, Sept. 28. The fountain will not operate during this time.

To obtain accurate readings of the lake levels the fountain must not run during the test, according to Parks Superintendent Brandon Putman.

Additionally, during the shutdown, the fountain’s three pumps will receive routine, preventative maintenance service to help increase the longevity of the motors. The fountain will return to normal operations starting Saturday, Sept. 28.
