Town becomes Irish March 16th with green fountain, Celtic rock

Dig out your Irish green clothing and accessories for the town’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 16.

About a dozen food trucks providing a variety of cuisine choices will roll into Fountain Park for the free Irish fest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will feature a Celtic rock band, Traveler; bagpipers, kids’ zone and Hensley beer garden. Individuals 21 and older will be given a wristband in order to purchase beer tickets. Beer tickets are $8 each.

Dig out your Irish green clothing and accessories for the town’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 16.

About a dozen food trucks providing a variety of cuisine choices will roll into Fountain Park for the free Irish fest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will feature a Celtic rock band, Traveler; bagpipers, kids’ zone and Hensley beer garden. Individuals 21 and older will be given a wristband in order to purchase beer tickets. Beer tickets are $8 each.

The Fountain will turn emerald green at noon and again at 4 p.m.

The Kilted Spirit Band will perform for one hour between 1 and 2 p.m. Bagpipers will take the stage from 2 to 3 p.m.

High-energy Traveler, a Celtic rock band, will play from 3 to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, March 17, the actual observance date, the Fountain will be colored green at noon. There will be no festivities in the park at that time.
