The Fountain Hills Town Council will consider moving ahead with the $3 million Shea Boulevard widening project when it meets on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
The council previously approved the $3 million in the FY26 budget and the project has been bid with DCS Contracting submitting the low responsive bid of $3,261,177 to complete construction.
Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) will be providing grant funding for the bulk of the project, however, there is currently a budget shortfall, which the association has agreed to cover at the end of the project. The council also needs to approve budget transfers for the project.
