Three teams home Tuesday following busy weekend

It was an extremely busy weekend for Falcon athletics with three teams competing this past Friday and Saturday.

The girls soccer squad took part in a two-day Phoenix Country Day School tournament, going 2-2 with wins over Sedona and Safford and losses to PCDS and Sunnyside.

The wrestling team also took part in a two-day tournament with the local grapplers taking second place overall in Payson and Peter Carillo going on to take first place in the 195 weight class.

Three teams home Tuesday following busy weekend

It was an extremely busy weekend for Falcon athletics with three teams competing this past Friday and Saturday.

The girls soccer squad took part in a two-day Phoenix Country Day School tournament, going 2-2 with wins over Sedona and Safford and losses to PCDS and Sunnyside.

The wrestling team also took part in a two-day tournament with the local grapplers taking second place overall in Payson and Peter Carillo going on to take first place in the 195 weight class.

The boys soccer team had two regular matches this weekend, besting Arizona Lutheran 5-1 Friday evening before going on to best Red Rock in a battle Saturday afternoon, 4-3.

Fans looking to catch a local game this week have several options Tuesday evening with three home competitions taking place at the high school campus. The girls soccer squad will welcome the team from Washington at 6 p.m. with the girls basketball team hosting Valley Christian inside the gym at the same time. The boys basketball team will follow, welcoming Valley Christian to the local court at 7:30 p.m.
