OPINION – I have been reading online posts from various ROT PAC members as well as our current Mayor Friedel. They complain about the concerning hindrance of governance and the dangerous mob of protestors at the Nov. 18 Town Council meeting.
First, I would like to point out that the average age of most of the “mob” of protestors was 70. We did have a cute but dangerous 13-year-old who spoke wisely about the bad example our current council is setting for younger constituents.
Yes, there the “mob” was, armed with sharpened words and symbolic mouth gags, protesting the council’s plan to muzzle its constituents. I chuckled when I heard descriptions of this mob of seniors that was apparently concerning enough to require police escort to the parking lot. We are the folks MAGA usually refers to as “snowflakes.”
