The Men’s Club in Fountain Hills held its annual Veterans Walleye Fish Fry Dinner on Friday, Nov. 14, to recognize and honor its veteran members.

The event was attended by 120 club members and their guests, who gathered to pay tribute to 53 veterans among its membership.

The ceremony commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the National Anthem and a toast to the veterans. Master of Ceremonies and Club President Izzy Myers formally introduced each veteran present and commended their patriotism, dedication to country and commitment to public service.

All branches of the U.S. Armed Forces were represented and veteran members participated in an annual group photograph, accompanied by patriotic decorations throughout The Club facility.

Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed a Walleye fish fry dinner prepared by Club members and served by the Fountain Hills High School boys soccer team. The meal was accompanied by appetizers and side dishes and concluded with New York-style cheesecake.

The evening provided an opportunity for attendees to formally honor veterans within the community while participating in a well-organized and memorable dining experience, according to a release.

“We thank the members of The Club who dedicated their time to planning, preparing and cleaning up for this highly anticipated, sold-out event,” said Club President Izzy Myers. “It is what Club members do, demonstrate their ongoing commitment of service to one another.”
