Friday night, Feb. 21, the Fountain Hills Theater opened with “Monty Python’s Spamalot” and it will run until March 16.
If you missed it last summer, here is your chance to see one of the funniest spoofs ever written. It is directed by Peter J. Hill, produced by Patricia Tonzi and Patty Torrilhon and costumes by Mary Ann Hacker. Wait until you see the fantastic costumes. What our theater can do on their small stage will leave you breathless. Tickets are going fast so call 837-9661 and reserve today.
You’ll see King Arthur, Sir Lancelot and Lady of the Lake like never before. Chad Campbell and Michael Stewart came directly from their hit “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” and I think they barely had time to change their costumes. Everyone’s favorite, Patrick Russo, plays at least six characters and is simply terrific, as always. The beautiful voice of Lizz Reeves Fidler will have you cheering every time she steps on stage…she is that good.

We have King Arthur in mesh mail…it is 932 A.D. after all. They tell the tale of the legendary Arthur played by Terry Gadaire and he shines again. We have legless knights, men in tights, a killer rabbit, the sexy dancing “Laker Girls” and a “Trojan Rabbit.” They are all in search of the Holy Grail.
In Camelot, King Arthur says, “In short, there’s simply not/A more congenial spot/For happily-ever-aftering than here/in Camelot.” Well, maybe not…but be prepared to laugh, leave your prejudices at the door and enjoy!
Tickets are still available for the big fundraiser Saturday, March 29, at the Community Center. Come and support the best little theater in the Valley and help them continue to do what they do so well.
