One of the most fun and thrilling activities for members of The Club is its “Trailblazers” events, according to a press release.
These are member-run auto trips to scenic sites, setting out on the open road, hiking in gorgeous scenery and picnicking with fellow members.
A new schedule of Trailblazer events has been announced for 2025 beginning with a trip to the Apache Trail & Tonto National Monument Wednesday, Jan. 22, and a trip to the Titan Missile Museum & San Xavier del Bac Mission Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The Apache Trail & Tonto National Monument trip includes eight scenic photo stops, a two-hour picnic and one hour at Tonto National Monument with a short hike.
Located just south of Tucson, the Titan Missile Museum is a 2.5-hour drive that includes a 45-minute tour of the underground missile complex, above ground artifacts and a picnic at Anamax Park. The group will make a stop at the historic San Xavier del Bac Mission before heading home.
Trailblazer trips are open to members and their guests. Drivers are reimbursed for fuel by a small fee paid by riders.
