I went to the FBI here in Phoenix and met with an agent. I told him what was going to happen to us, but he said it was too much security and people would not want that. Thirty-nine Americans have died since that, who could have been saved if they followed my advice.
I even said that all entry points to Manhattan were open to compromise. It’s easy enough for a terrorist to load a van with explosives and blow himself up in the middle of the Holland or Lincoln Tunnels.
