Teens pray at schools

Local teens at the high school and Fountain Hills Middle School gathered around their school flagpoles this morning to lift up prayers as part of a national movement.

The informal prayer sessions were held just prior to opening bells at the two local schools.

"See You at the Pole" was marked around the country at school campuses Sept. 25. The grassroots prayer event began in Texas in 1990, bringing students to their school flagpoles to intercede for their leaders, schools and families. Today it's also known as the Global Day of Student Prayer.
