Was this an April fool’s joke? The German co-pilot a Muslim? What a weird thought! And I guess it comes from the American paranoia, which is provided by Fox TV and exists since 9/11!

This young man was apparently mentally troubled and suicidal, which had nothing to do with being a Muslim! And was not covered up by the German government or airline! In Germany it is not important to say to which religion you belong -- either Catholic, Lutheran, Jewish or Muslim.

It was a very tragic incident that he used the plane with its 149 passengers to commit suicide. It was the deed of a lone perpetrator. One could call it an extended suicide that claimed 149 human lives and it exceeds every imagination. This was an intangible tragedy which cannot be put in words.

As a German snowbird who was deeply affected, I only can say that Mr. Larson’s comment about the pilot being a Muslim is most tactless, especially against the families who lost their loved ones in this terrible crash.
