Sylvia Jean Kettler

Sylvia (Sammye) Jean Kettler nee Pemberton was born May 9, 1948 in Charleston, Mo. and passed on May 10, 2014 in Fountain Hills.

She was the beloved wife of David E. Kettler, loving stepmother/mother of Kymberlee Kettler-Paddock (Jarrod Paddock) and David S. Kettler (Michelle Lia), Dennis E. Kettler (Yoshie Kettler) and Douglas J. Kettler.

Sammye was the proud grandmother to Joshua and Isabella Paddock and Norah Kettler.

She was the daughter of Freeman and Marie Pemberton, sister to Paul Pemberton, Betty Lambert, Phyllis Hastings, and Sandy Triplett and daughter-in-law to Edward and Regina Kettler.

She was a sister-in-law to Leigh Pemberton, Kenny Lambert, Harry Hastings, Dennis Triplett, Barbara Kettler, Tom and Mary Lou Zesterman, and Claire and Jerry Fedasch.

Sylvia passed to her eternal reward peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with lymphoma. Her passing will leave a huge void in all of our lives.

A memorial mass will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 12615 Fountain Hills Boulevard, at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Sage Hospice, 5111 N. Scottsdale Road, No. 155, Scottsdale, AZ or the American Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
