Brenda “The Diva” Dissette and Paul Locke, formerly of Fountain Hills, were married April 13, 2013 in Sun City, Ariz. in front of 100 friends and family members who thought they were there to celebrate a 60th birthday.
The hilarious ceremony was officiated by Denise Cade of Grand Rapids, Mich., a friend of Brenda’s for nearly 40 years.
Witnesses were Laurie Forman, Fargo, N.D.; Kurt Dissette (son); Matt Locke (son); and Heather Syllaba (daughter). Guests dined on a barbeque rib dinner with entertainment and music provided by country band “Everything Western” and DJ and entertainer “Wolfman.”
In true diva fashion, at the end of the ceremony Brenda turned to the crowd, flashed her new ring and announced “He went to Jared’s!”
It was a night of laughter and fun from start to finish! The shocked looks and reactions by all the guests was priceless!
