This coming weekend is our town’s annual “Great Fair” and with it, hopefully and thankfully, the semi-annual invasion of tourists and shoppers, local residents, winter visitors and people from throughout the county. Everyone is invited to the VFW beer garden.
The VFW’s beer garden serving food and drink with live entertainment is still located on Saguaro just south of the Avenue of the Fountains intersection. The mini-beer garden will be located at the intersection of Paul Nordin Parkway and Verde River Drive at the south end of the new “food court” all along Verde River Drive.
I invite everyone to support the VFW and its charities by relaxing at one of the two beer gardens with a soft drink or beer or wine or even a cocktail. At the main beer garden, fresh brats, hot dogs and chili will also be available to enjoy while taking a break from shopping or manning one of the many booths. Red Shirt Friday shirts will also be available for purchase at the main garden on Saguaro Blvd.

Post 7507 has been designated by the Department of Defense as a Viet Nam Commemorative Partner. If you are a Viet Nam veteran, stop by the Viet Nam 50th Commemorative Booth and receive special recognition and the opportunity to register and learn about future events.
When you want to sit down and relax and enjoy a little live music, the VFW beer garden will be the best place to do so. It is the only place within the confines of the Great Fair where you can purchase an alcoholic drink to go with your freshly cooked brat, hot dog or chili. All the public is welcome.
