Supervisor to speak at GOP Club meet

He is keynote speaker at the Fountain Hills Republican Club meeting. The event starts with registration and light breakfast refreshments at 8:30 a.m. followed by the regular program.

Chucri represents Fountain Hills on the Board of Supervisors. He recently completed his term as chairman of the Maricopa County Supervisors.

Supervisor to speak at GOP Club meet

Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Chucri will speak in Fountain Hills Saturday, Sept. 21.

He is keynote speaker at the Fountain Hills Republican Club meeting. The event starts with registration and light breakfast refreshments at 8:30 a.m. followed by the regular program.

Chucri represents Fountain Hills on the Board of Supervisors. He recently completed his term as chairman of the Maricopa County Supervisors.

Chucri will include in his remarks an update with all details and improvements that have been made to make the voting process fair and honest. He has continued to provide thorough briefings of all relevant topics covered by the board and is expected to report on issues that concern Fountain Hills residents. There will also be an opportunity for questions.

Chucri was born and raised in Mesa. His family has a long history in Arizona. His grandfather, Tony M. Coury, Sr. was born in 1911 in Morenci and as a young man started a car business in downtown Mesa which remained in the family for more 70 years.

Members also will discuss the upcoming Republican Club picnic, set for Saturday, Oct. 19. The fundraiser will be held at Golden Eagle Park from 4 to 6 p.m.

Among the committed speakers are Congressman David Schweikert and Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward. Other officials and dignitaries will also attend.

As a fundraiser, attendees are asked to sign up early, at $15 a head, so that appropriate quantities of food can be ordered.

The monthly social will be held at the All-American Sports Grill Wednesday, Sept. 25.
