Annual early morning worship held in Fountain Park

Join in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ at the annual Easter Sunrise service hosted by the Fountain Hills Christian Ministerial Association (FHCMA) Sunday, March 31.

The event will take place at the Fountain Park amphitheater starting at 6 a.m.

This year, Pastor Tony Pierce of Cornerstone Family Church will deliver a message while music is led by Desert Creek Fellowship.

To enhance the viewing experience, all musical lyrics are available on the FHCMA website at FountainHillsCMA.org, so attendees are invited to bring phones to sing along, a press release said.

During the service, a special offering is collected for the Good Samaritan fund which supports Fountain Hills residents facing difficult times.

Seating is available around the amphitheater and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets, as the temperature is generally around 60 degrees at sunrise, the release said.

The FHCMA is a fellowship of evangelical pastors serving Fountain Hills and Rio Verde which aims to share God’s love and the gospel of Jesus Christ with the community, the release said.

According to the press release, FHCMA adheres to the essential beliefs and teachings of Christianity as expressed in the Apostles Creed, standing together for the sake of Jesus Christ and His gospel.

The FHCMA sponsors three annual events in Fountain Hills including the Easter Sunrise Service, the National Day of Prayer event on the first Thursday of May and the Thanksgiving Community Service on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Members of the FHCMA include Pastor Rick Ponzo of Calvary Chapel Fountain Hills, Pastor Keith Pavia of Christ’s Church Fountain Hills, Rev. Dr. Mary Catherine Northrup of Community Church of the Verdes, Pastor Tony Pierce of Cornerstone Family Church, Pastor Rod Warembourg of Desert Creek Fellowship, Rev.
