Sue Jiang returns to Fountain Hills

Local business owner shares harrowing story

Fountain Hills resident and local business owner Sue Jiang, 51, had been in the United States long enough to adapt to freedoms she didn’t have in her native China.

Jiang flew home to China on August 27, 2019, to attend her father’s funeral. Expecting to stay for two weeks, Jiang was held for four years for a crime she was unaware of committing. She returned to Fountain Hills in August of last year, only recently reopening her business Asian Natural Healing Massage.

Upon landing in Shangai, Jiang was immediately taken into custody, stripped of her possessions and held in what she called a detention home.
