Everyone loves a good fireworks show (except most dogs and a lot of car alarms), and last week’s Fourth at the Fountain celebration certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to holiday fun and fireworks.
The weather cooperated beautifully, despite the monsoon’s inaugural storm a few days before. Yes, it’s going to be hot in the Sonoran Desert on July 4, but that didn’t seem to stop too many revelers from coming out and enjoying the Fourth at the Fountain’s festivities.
Kudos to the many sponsors who provided financial or in-kind assistance to make the event a reality. A hard-working committee, with Christine Colley, Phyliss Kern and Sam Coffee at the helm, assisted by the Town of Fountain Hills and many others, managed to pull off yet another grand celebration.

It’s only fitting that this community come together in a unique fashion to organize a hometown celebration to honor Independence Day and America’s birthday. Residents and visitors of all ages enjoyed the party. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
