Stressors are plentiful, but there are ways to cope
At their bi-weekly breakfast meeting, the Four Peaks Rotary Club members heard a presentation by Pam Chambers and Steve Simon.
Chambers is a life-coach and therapist. She spoke of the possible 43 life events, from death of a spouse to Christmas, and how the stress from such occurrences can have real impact on our health or consciousness.
Simon and Chambers shared experiences and lessons for step-parents. Trials and challenges may come about due to the step-parent, who is new to the family, exercising too much direction for the child(ren). They agreed it is best to work through the possible scenarios beforehand and continue to share your love for one another as parents.
